Art Facts: Highlights from the Barray's recent exhibition 'Look We Salone!'


Art Collective - the Barray's most recent exhibition was held at the New Brookfields Hotel in central Freetown. The exhibition - 'Look We Salone' - showed a range of work by Sierra Leonean artists that was occasionally wistful. sometimes brutally frank, but always thought-provoking and uniquely relevant to the circumstances of our time.

This year 14 pieces were sold indicating that a local market for Sierra Leonean art in Sierra Leone is gradually being established. Ten pieces were bought by women. Four pieces were bought by Sierra Leonean men.
