If the arts are a barometer for what is happening in our world, then the Barray's December 2017 exhibition, was a compelling and occasionally disconcerting commentary on Sierra Leone's economy, its culture, its politics and its society.
The 15-strong Sierra Leonean Art Collective - which was formed in 2013 - has been a driving force behind Sierra Leone's emerging contemporary arts scene and holds pop-up exhibitions a couple of times a year.
Their December 2017 show - the Art of Disruption - featured work by Alpha Abdul Aziz, Felix Rhodes, Hawa-Jane Bangura, Jeneba Samura, Julius Parker, Mabel Turay, Morrison Jusu, Mustapha Marray-Conteh (Snazzy), Ranya Nirvan and Tindae Kamanda.
