Airbnb has been growing rapidly throughout the African continent and is extremely popular in countries like Kenya, Morocco and South Africa where there’s been a massive increase in hosts and users over the last couple of years. It isn’t as widely known of in Sierra Leone, however since working on a campaign to promote the service in July 2016, the number of properties listed on the platform has increased by 290%. The majority of these properties are based in the Western Area, Freetown.
